The IEEE Education Society (EDUSOC) Malaysia Chapter successfully convened its 2nd Executive Committee Meeting for 2026. The meeting brought together the key leadership team, including the Chapter Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and the full slate of Executive Committee (ExComm) members for 2026, to review recent progress, discuss ongoing initiatives, and outline strategic directions for the remainder of the year.

The primary focus of the meeting centered on strengthening engineering education initiatives, enhancing member engagement, and aligning local chapter activities with global IEEE EDUSOC goals. Key agenda items discussed included:

i. Executive Leadership Reports: Updates presented by the Chair on strategic goals, followed by detailed reporting from the Secretary on recent administrative activities and official communications.

ii. Financial Oversight: A comprehensive review by the Treasurer regarding chapter funds, upcoming grant applications, and budget allocations for H2 2026 activities.

iii. Flagship Events & Workshops: Status updates on upcoming flagship educational workshops, technical talks, and outreach programs aimed at academicians, researchers, and students across Malaysia.

iv. Membership Drive & Retention: Strategies to expand chapter membership, support student branches, and increase active participation among professional members.
